There’s a gap where we meet is a site specific installation built around a shale and moss wall at ChaNorth Residency. The installation serves as a parasitic intervention, creating a relationship where through the mediation between both objects a new liminal environment is formed. A viewer enters through one end and by traversing the space finds themselves interacting with the shale and moss in intimate sensorial ways. The exterior of the installation is made up of semi-opaque screens both protecting and exposing the viewer at once. There’s a gap where we meet investigates the alienation between a naturally occurring and manufactured experience.
